Gonzaga University

Gonzaga is one of 28 Jesuit universities in the U.S. and is established as a premier private college in the Northwest.  The Gonzaga MBA is ranked #73 in America by U.S. News.  Gonzaga offers a full-time program and a part-time program for working professionals in the Spokane area.  The full-time program is a 33-credit curriculum that is designed to be completed in one year.
At a total cost of about $30,000 it is competitively priced for a private college MBA in the Northwest and carries the highest ranking in that price range.  In addition to the regular MBA programs, Gonzaga offers two hybrid on-campus and online programs—the MBA/HCM (Health Care Management) and the MBA/AIE (American Indian Entrepreneurship).  These programs require six-week summer residencies on the Gonzaga campus.  The MBA/AIE option is a truly unique program that is open to all interested students, but offers a 50% tuition reduction to any member of a Native American tribe or employee of a Native American business.  Students eligible for this scholarship can earn their Gonzaga MBA at a cost of around $15,000.

The Life:  With over half a million residents in the area, Spokane is eastern Washington’s largest city.  It attracts national entertainment and offers an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities.  Spokane International Airport is the major air transit hub of eastern Washington, and the city also has a large train station with Amtrak service to Portland, Seattle, and Chicago.  Gonzaga also has a strong sports program, which competes in the same West Coast Conference (WCC) as University of Portland, Santa Clara, and Pepperdine.  The WCC association of colleges is also one premier academic status among private schools.

Drawbacks:  Average low temperatures below freezing persist from November through March.
